Insurance

We accept most dental insurances. We are preferred providers for the Active Duty Tricare plan, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee, Cigna Dental Care (DHMO), and we are providers for Delta Dental plans. Please be advised that these are all different types of insurance plans and not all plans under the same company offer the same coverage.

Types of dental insurance plans:

Indemnity Plans
Traditional insurance where a third party – an insurance company or administrator – provides service payment to your provider for a monthly premium paid by you or your employer. Any provider accepting the insurance can provide services. Normally, benefit coverage includes a stated individual and family deductible, annual benefit maximum, and co-insurance for covered services.

Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) (Make sure you can come to us)
A benefit plan where the member can go to any provider chosen by the member, or the member can go to any one of a number of listed preferred providers and be subject to discounted fees to lower the member´s co-insurance.

Dental Health Maintenance Organization (DHMO)

Managed Care Plans

A legal entity that accepts the responsibility of providing services to enrolled members for a fixed monthly premium. Members must seek care through designated providers to whom the members have been assigned, selected, or referred. The member is normally required to pay a fixed copayment for covered services.

Your Insurance company will always send you an explanation of benefits in the mail, it is important that you read these. They tell you what was charged, how much the insurance paid, and how much you owe. Please remember we only do contract write-offs if we are a preferred provider for that insurance.

Treatment of our patients is not based on their insurance, but rather, based on their dental examination, medical history and appropriate communication to achieve a proper treatment plan.

Please keep in mind that your insurance is a contract between you and the insurance company/employer. As such, you are required to be responsible for the account. We ask that you provide the Front Desk Team with your policy numbers/information, and inform them of any changes to your policy and personal information.

As a convenience to you, our office will submit the charges to your insurance carrier. We offer electronic insurance submissions where possible.
